The Commonwealth Women in Planning Network (CWIP) in association with Leeds Beckett University and University of the West of England are proud to present the third webinar in our series - Gender Inclusion in Urban Planning: Practices from Across the Globe on 6 December 2023 at 16:00pm (GMT).
Men and women are affected differently by climate change. Men and women also use urban infrastructure differently, thus generating different environmental footprints. How can we plan and design cities that are more inclusive and also promote environmental sustainability? How to ensure that green infrastructure in cities and urban policies promotes equality of opportunities for all and answer men and women’ needs? How can we engage women, youth and other groups in climate action in cities?
In our third webinar, we hear from the Eva Bernard, Principal, Gender, Inclusion and Climate Action at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). Eva will be sharing the work of EBRD across the globe on promoting gender equality and human development as a co-benefit of climate action in cities, in particular as part of the flagship programme EBRD Green Cities.
